Submitted Graphic Guidelines:
Designs for pad printing require the vector art format due to the occasional necessity to resize art work while maintaining crisp forms. We prefer the files to be sent in the .ai or .eps format (.pdf is also okay providing to original art was created by a vector program). If the file is bigger than 1 Mb it should be zipped. Please convert all text to outlines (Illustrator) or curves (Corel)
We support the following formats: |
|
| |

|
|
- Adobe Illustrator CS2 (.ai, .eps)
- Corel Draw 11 (.cdr)
- Adobe Acrobat (.pdf)
- Other file formats we can open using the above: .dxf and .wmf
|
|
| |
Fonts:
Because there are thousands of fonts, and we could not have all of them installed in our computer, it is necessary for all text to be converted to outlines. This will allow us to view your files as they were designed, instead of having our program convert your font to one that is installed.

Please Note:
- Microsoft Office programs such as PowerPoint, Word or Publisher are not considered true graphic programs typically use lower resolution formats.
- Avoid using jpg or bitmap files.
- Digital art created in QuarkXPress, Pagemaker and other layout programs cannot be used because they incorporate linked files which often are not included.
- Graphic Files originally created for internet use cannot be used effectively for product decoration.
- PDFs that were created by scanning an image are really raster images and not the vector quality that we look for.

What is Vector Format?
To put it simply it is a file format generated by Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw, or Macromedia Freehand. It usually has the extension at the end .eps .ai .cdr or .dxf.
A vector format is crisper, cleaner and can be scaled easier. Faxed or typical .jpg files are called raster or bit mapped and this is printed out with the corners and rounded edges looking like little boxes or jagged lines.
For pad printing the crisp solid line is what is needed to make a quality cliché.
